About
Hi, I’m Sapphire, an. ACE certified health coach and music teacher based in Long Island, New York. When I’m not teaching or learning music, I am most likely in the gym, in the kitchen prepping my meals, or finding an excuse to bake something. Aside from improving my quality of life, fitness has kept me grounded throughout my post-college life, including the demands of teaching and graduate school. At one point, I was a certified POP Pilates instructor and Athletic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Group Fitness Instructor (GXI).
My journey to starting this blog began with a question from a friend: How often do you work out? What workouts do you do? After a couple of years of consistent at-home workouts, my chubby, post-collegiate physique created by poor habits started to transform into a better version of the lean, muscular frame I had in high school.
As the years went on, I would continue to field questions from my family, friends, colleagues, and even people at the gym. People often wondered how I found the time to exercise and maintain a healthy diet while working full time as a teacher and fulfilling other responsibilities. All I will say is that it was a process that took several years to figure out, and I continue to work on it everyday. Read more about my fitness journey here.
After years of sharing my suggestions with people, I thought about starting a blog to share my health and wellness experiences and suggestions from a working professional’s perspective. Feel free to contact me with blog post suggestions or more information about my coaching service!
